Intan Suci Nurhati (senior researcher at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences’ (LIPI) Research Center for Oceanography and National Geographic Explorer) will share her recent research work on monitoring plastic waste in the environment and the rising tide of pandemic-driven plastic waste. She will highlight issues of plastics being the dominant land-derived waste and how local actions matter in plastics management.
