The Chinese Lunar New Year is also known as “Spring Festival” as it coincides with the start of Spring.
Library@East invites all staff and students to take part in writing the word “春” (chūn – Spring) to celebrate this festival.
Similar to last year, we will also piece together the best “春” written by participants and put these up for display until the end of the Chinese New Year.
What’s more?
Mr Chua (a retired calligrapher) will be here once again to demonstrate Chinese calligraphy, and at the same time to write the “春联” (chūnlián – Spring Festival couplet) for all*!
